The school is primarily intended for graduate (Master's & PhD) students and post-doctoral researchers, but we also welcome motivated applications from advanced undergraduate students and academic and industrial researchers. There are no formal prerequisites, but prior experience in one or more of the following areas would be helpful for benefiting from the lectures of the school: databases, knowledge representation & reasoning, logic, theoretical computer science.
Student grants
There will be a limited number of grants. Half grants cover the registration fee, while full grants also cover accommodation in a student residence room. Those interested in applying for such a grant must briefly explain why attendance could not be financed by other means. Grants will be awarded taking into account the applicant's profile (motivations, research background) as well as financial need.
Application procedure
Interested participants can apply by providing, as a single PDF file:
- a CV ;
- a one-page description of their research background and interests and motivation for attending the school (being sure to mention whether you wish to attend the whole school, only Track 1, or only Track 2) ;
- (optional) a request for a student grant, accompanied by a proof of full-time student status (copy of valid student ID card or letter from their institution or advisor) and a short justification confirming that the attendance could not be fully financed by other means.
Applications should be submitted via the following Easychair site (you will need to create an Easychair account, if you do not have one already):
Once logged in, click on “new submission”, and enter your contact details. Place your name in the “title” field and provide 3 keywords summarizing your research interests under “keywords”. Finally, indicate whether you are requesting a student grant, attach your application file, and submit.

- Track 1: Monday morning to Friday morning (tutorials 1–8) ;
- Track 2: Wednesday morning to Saturday evening (tutorials 5–11) ;
- Whole school (Tracks 1+2): Monday morning through Saturday evening.
